Landed in New York, safe and sound, lovely traveling day spent reading for school on plane and catching up at airport on texts.
I LOVE New York in the summer...the style just overflows in little play suits of assorted length, fabrics, and color and texture and styles. Lots of tee shirts, belted, with ankle boots and fedora hats...gladiator style sandals in every imaginable material and color (lots of metallic shades) and Topshop seems to be the store of choice for many of the downtown set as saw 6 little style-setters before even got out of Grand Central in their wears...again, the short jump suits in vibrant colors, tribal bohemian groove and 80s flashback designs were all over the place, same as in Phoenix before leaving for New York.
And the Alexa bag by Mulberry does seem to reign supreme, as various knock offs show, all over city, are casually tossed over shoulder or worn across chest a la messenger style, by various girls about town.
My favorite look so far this visit...a little denim patchwork asymmetrical skirt (cut just above knee), paired with short Frye harness boots in gray/black with a wide striped tube top and little pig tails. Made my day...and still making me smile two days later.
Summer in New York and the style (and weather) is f....in.....e!
